It is so nice to be able to go on the internet and not have to purchase or want to purchase something anymore. The mountain bike is all done and there is nothing else to add to it. I am really happy on how it turned out and I hope you guys like it as much as I do!! Talk to you quick!!!

I miss placed my freaking headset bearings so I am now behind in putting my rig back together. I am so pissed at myself. How can I keep all of the parts together for so long then when it comes to getting it all together I loose one of the most important pieces. Can anyone say "KARMA?" Wheels are done though, take a look. Please tell me how you can beat a set of Hope Ti-Glide hubs w/ Marwi Tye-Dyed TiTanium spokes w/ DT Swiss Aluminum nipples w/ Michelin's' ultralight latex tubes and lastly Maxxis Maxxlite 285 tires? Ahhh, it's good to be the King so say's Mel Brooks. Oh yeah, did anyone checkout the Serotta S's on the rims? Talk to you quick!!!

Still waiting to put the bike back together, the paint is all done and I am lacing up the front wheel as we speak, the steerer tube has been threaded. All that is left is a countdown to the first ride. Oh yeah, Happy Easter everyone!! Talk to you quick!!!

Did a little more work on the bike, it's a day by day thing. I'm trying not to rush even though the weather is getting nicer. Talk to you quick!!!

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

I finished the bike the other day. I'm clear coating the hell out of it because I want it to look like glass. I didn't do a very good job with the pictures but I'll post the best ones. The batteries died on me. Talk to you quick!!

I'm trying to workout a deal for a couple more Serotta decals, hopefully I can get these decals because they are kind-of rare!! Talk to you quick!!

The paint came in and I have been able to put three "3" coats on. I am really happy with this paint. The colour changing aspects are unbelievable! Plus the colours alone are so brilliant and eye popping which is going to make the bike really stand out. I don't have the clear coat on yet so I don't know how well it will photograph. Enjoy people! Talk to you quick!!!

The decals came in via UPS but I'm still waiting on the paint and they are coming via USPS. They seem bigger than what was on there before which is okay by me. Bigger is better, am I right or am I right? Talk to you quick!!!!

Sunday, February 6, 2011

Base coat has been applied. Now all we are waiting for is the paint to come in along with the new decals. I figure by the end of next week she should be finished! Till then, I'll talk to you quick!!

Well, I finally did it. I stripped all of the decals and old paint off of the T-Max. It was a really hard decision to make because once you start, there's no going back and I went all the way. The bike is going to look great! I bought this special paint called Chameleon paint. It's the paint that changes colors depending where you are standing looking at the bike. Gold to Green colour. I'm really stoked, I purchased brand new decals from Serotta and I had this really nice guy from England make a new set of Sun/Ringle Limelight decals for the rims. I'll add his website to my list of shout outs if he'll let me. If you need decals made, he's the man to see!! The old set was all worn and you couldn't tell if they were Limelight rims or not. I'm having the rims resprayed as well. I purchased a new/used stem. A beautiful anodized red aluminum Kore "Elite" ahead stem and a new rear cassette from Recon/Trotz an one piece aluminum 9 speed and the best part it's only 138 grams. 2 Shimano thumb shifter levers , 3 ring lever and a 10 speed lever that weighs 34 grams for both. To add to the levers, I will be purchasing the Pauls "Thumbies" to help to loose more weight. They look fantastic and I will be adding photo's of them shortly. Also a new Kore Ibeam saddle that comes in at a breath taking 124 grams and a brand new 1 inch Kor 300 headset that weighs a mind numbing 64 grams. "I shit you not!" I also purchased a used Ritchey "Prolite" titanium with ceramic bearings "which I added" bottom bracket that weighs 101 grams. Again "I shit you not!" Did you notice that I didn't mention the weight of the stem? Yeah, well that's a little heavy for me to mention but here it goes, 180 grams! Ouch!!! I'll take the hit on weight for the cool factor. Talk to you quick!!!

It's amazing that an entire mountain bike would fit into a small case! But there it is, I'd like to call it "my box-O-goodies" Here's a couple other photo's of the T-Max naked. If you are under the age of 18, please look away!!! Below is a full frontal view of everything laid "I said laid (lol)" out. I love this stuff! Even though it's a pretty expensive habit. Well, lease expensive than my last habit that is.. But we won't go there.

You know what i would really like is to hear coments from other Weight Weenies out there conmenting on what the see on my blog and give me advice on what I am doing right or wrong. Please don't be shy and don't hold back because any help would be greatly appreciated!! Oh yeah, I just pick up another Hope hub that I will be using as my single speed set up. Check it out! Talk to you quick!!!
