Sorry people for not getting back to you for a couple of days but I have been real busy doing eBay for my brother. He doing rather well with selling his artwork and other unusual item's that he has picked along his ways. Our eBay name is "trashytreasures-2009". Check us out you might find something you'll like and if you do, mention this blog and I'll hook you up with a shipping discount. Okay, now for the bike. It has not moved since the last time I have talk to you. Also, I haven't taken any pictures as well. Talk about being a lazy son-ofa-bitch. That's me. Fergus says hello and we'll talk to you quick.....

I am not doing much of anything til after Christmas. I'm looking to purchase the Tune "Skyline Edition" skewer set that weighs in at an amazing 17 grams. They cost around $100.00 to $125.00 for the set. I think I can get a better price if I do some hunting of the internet. What else do I have to tell you? Oh yeah, the punp that goes with the Columbus fork turned out nice. I'll post a couple of photos. There was something else I was looking into as well but I can't remember what it was so I'll think about what it was this weekend and I'll have more to share in the coming days. Talk to you quick!!!

Not much to add today. I purchased a aluminum derailleur bolt and a couple of TiTanium nuts to lighten the cantilever brakes. I also customized the airpump that goes with the Columbus shock. I don't have any bike photo's to add but I do have a couple of "Fergus" photo's that I'll post instead. Hope you like him.. Talk to you quick.....

Still haven't made up my mind on rather to purchase new skewers and jockies or purchase new brake and shifter cables. My cables are pretty old and out of date. And I am sure that I can lose weight by changing them. They're Shimano XTR but they are starting to fray/unravle and break off in certain areas. You don't think about cables when trying to lose weight. I have done some digging and noticed that 2 to 3 onces can be saved. When you start to think about saving onces and the price it will cost you, I have come up with a dollar figure per once. The figure is around $35 to $45 per once that it will cost to loose weight. How much is it for dope I wonder? Let me know if you think my figure is close to being correct. Talk to you quick!!!!

The tires look nice right? Wait til you see the job I did on repainting the forks. It must be the season for giving because someone just gave me the talent to do such a nice job on these forks. Like I have said in previous posts, "I tend to rush things" which leeds to a half-ass job. Not this time. Even my brother, "the artist" was impressed with the job I did on the forks. Okay, enough about the forks.
Remember when I mentioned that the progress of the bike will have to depend on cash flow? Well, my eBay bucks will be activated this week and the money that was refunded by the U.S. Postal Service will be around $40.00. I'm thinking about selling my Ringle TiTanium skewers and using that money plus the eBay bucks/refund to purchase new and lighter skewers and rear pullies/jockeys. That's what is on the agenda for this next round of "What can I get next?"
That's it, talk to you quick!!....

Fork is almost done, I just have to install the new steerer tube and the new tires are on. I did forget to have my chain lengthened because when I first got it I had that Christmas fever where I couldn't wait to put it on. So when you got the fever "and you know what I am talking about out there," you do something too quickly and fuck it up. Hence, I made the chain too short and I have to have it made longer now. I know, "I'm an asshole". I'm trying to work on it. You know, that everything doesn't have to be done in one day. I'm sure I'll get the message after a couple more fuck-ups and it's costly. I'll post the photo's of the semi-finished fork and Maxxix Maxlite 285 tires shortly. So please come back to see how it all ends. Because, I don't.......... Talk to you quick!!!

Doing some finishing touches on the newer forks that I purchased a while ago. They are turning out nicer than expected. The bike shop that is putting on my new "Maxxis Maxlite 285" tires was closed yesterday so I couldn't post them. I'll post them either later today or Sunday. Not much going on here, we're trimming the Christmas tree, "and yes, I said Christmas" none of that politically correct crap over here. We're also decorating the inside of the house as well.
Back to the bike, it looks to be on schedule but I never had one to begin with in the first place. I'll post more photos of the "bad boy/T-Max" in the coming days.......

Well well well, hold the phone!! I found a 1 inch steerer tube for my other fork. This is fucking great! But the only problem is in our last conversation I was having my brother do some chop shop work on my Manitou SX fork. I'm hoping that as usual he didn't get to it and the fork is still in one piece. Let's hope people!! This is huge because I was already working with a lite fork and now with me finding a steerer tube for the Rock Shox fork this will only make my Serotta that much lighter. Plus I already painted it to match the T-Max and I have some stickers to tie it all in with the frame. I'll have to take a picture or two to show the progress. But as I suspect, I'm probably only talking to myself on this blog so I have no rush to post them. Also, it snowed about 2 feet yesterday and going for a ride is pretty much out of the question. Lastly, my tires came in and I pick them up from the bike shop today. I think I got hosed on the tubes but they were a birthday present from the parental units so no out of pocket expense was had. I will post them on as well. They are so cool and talk about a lite tire. Holy shit! It's all starting to come together and wouldn't you know it, winter is just starting!!!!??? Talk to you quick!!!!

Well, the big brother has come thru. He took my old shock the, "Mantitou SX" and he is going to be making some big changes to it. He is going to be cutting off the brake booster, which will probably take off a good pound believe it or not and he is going to be reshaping the legs or are they called stanchions? This is to shave off more weight as well. Yes I am a "weight weenie" You should really try their website. It has all of the weights of every mountain bike part made. It's pretty handy. I also received a pair of Maxxis Max Lite 285. These tires weigh in at 285 grams per. Holy fuck that's light! Plus the purchase of the Michelin Aircomp Latex A1 tube which are superlite as well. I thought I was going to the Rock Shox "Mag 21" but I purchase the wrong size fork. I need a 1 inch fork tube but it came with a 1 1/8 inch tube. I thought i could make it work but I was truly mistaken. Anyway, I'll be on the look out for a 1 inch crown to swap it with them I'll have two forks to interchange on my moods. It's good to have a lot of stuff. You know the feeling.. I know you do!!!!!
Talk to you quick!!!!

Well it's going to be a few weeks before the next transformation of my Serotta T-Max. I hope you will enjoy my little journey.
Mostly it is going to depend on my cash flow. And if my "artist" brother will help me do some minor surgery on certain parts. Will see...... Talk to you quick!!
